Financial support for local community groups and organisations.

  • Funding for arts projects

    The Dumfries and Galloway Regional Arts Fund aims to increase the volume and impact of high quality arts projects for the public and economic benefit of Dumfries and Galloway.

  • Funding from Area Committees

    Grants are available to third sector, voluntary, community organisations and in certain circumstances individuals that work within one or more of the four geographical areas of Dumfries and Galloway.

  • Sports grants

    Grants are available to support individuals and clubs from Dumfries and Galloway who are taking part in sport.

  • Funding for young athletes in Annandale and Eskdale

    The "Welcome to Langholm" Future Champions Fund is a 5 year programme supported by charities based in Langholm. Awards from the fund aim to help talented young athletes who live in the Annandale and Eskdale area.

  • Support for festivals and events

    We're working to establish Dumfries and Galloway as an internationally renowned destination for rural events that continuously attracts new visitors to the region. Advice and funding is available to help.

  • Funding for young people's events and activities

    We've secured funding from the Scottish Government's Community Choices Fund to run a small grant scheme during the Year of Young People that will enable local groups and organisations working with young people to deliver free events and activities during 2018.

  • Common Good Funds

    Our Common Good Fund provides groups or individuals with financial help to organise events and activities for residents in their area.

  • Funding for community safety projects

    The Community Safety Fund is designed to support projects that aim to make people feel safer in their neighbourhoods or reduce the number of people who are victims of crime and antisocial behaviour.

  • The Armed Forces Covenant Fund

    The Armed Forces Covenant Fund provides grants to projects which support the armed forces community.

  • Civic hospitality

    We sometimes provide hospitality in the form of a reception, light refreshments or a presentation to mark special events or achievements.

  • Wigtownshire Educational Trust

    The Wigtownshire Educational Trust provides financial assistance to residents in the Wigtownshire area that are either attending or looking to attend educational activities.

  • Lockerbie Trust

    The Lockerbie Trust provides financial assistance to individuals, groups, clubs and societies whose aims are charitable and in the interest of the community of Lockerbie.

  • George Hunter Trust

    The George Hunter Trust provides financial assistance to individuals, schools, clubs and societies, whose aims are to benefit the community of Lochmaben.

  • The Samuel Elliot Bequest

    The Samuel Elliot Bequest provides financial assistance to charitable organisations and community councils who aim to benefit the communities in the Burgh of Lockerbie, the Parish of Dryfesdale and Johnstone.

  • Lockerbie and Syracuse Trust

    The Lockerbie and Syracuse Trust was formed to distribute fund allocated through the Lockerbie Disaster. The Trust allows young people from Lockerbie Academy to attend Syracuse University in the USA.

  • Town Centre Living Fund

    The Town Centre Living Fund aims to increase the supply of affordable housing in town centres by bringing empty properties back into use.

  • George D Grant Memorial Fund

    The George D Grant Memorial Fund provides financial assistance to individuals, schools, clubs and societies, whose aims are to benefit the former burgh of Dumfries.
